The German Research Foundation has approved the new research training group “VISualisation and imaging of virus InfectION (VISION)”. The spokesperson is Professor Dr Thomas Krey, head of the Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Lübeck, and the co-spokesperson and co-applicant is Professor Dr Kay Grünewald from the University of Hamburg. In the coming years, the two RESIST members will dedicate themselves to training the next generation of scientists in state-of-the-art structural analysis and imaging techniques to combat viral infectious diseases.
