This week saw the start of the fourth year of the master’s programme in Biomedical Data Science. Among the students are eleven medical doctors and eight life scientists.
The life scientists have a bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology, molecular and applied plant sciences, molecular biotechnology, molecular medicine (1x) or biomedicine – and they studied in Hannover, Freiburg, Braunschweig, Würzburg or in Turkey. The medical students studied at the MHH, in Münster, Cologne, Göttingen, Magdeburg or Jena.
At the evening event on 10 October, Prof. Dr. Michael Altenbuchinger from the University Medical Center Göttingen will give a guest lecture entitled ‘Machine Learning for omics data analyses’. Prof. Dr. Helena Zacharias (PLRI) will moderate the event. During this week, students can get to know each other and meet lecturers. There is a get-together and team-building workshop, teaching and information events, as well as social activities such as a campus rally and bar evenings.
