The RESIST team has grown and we are now 60 scientists who, together with their teams, are conducting energetic, interdisciplinary research at an excellent level in 30 projects at six institutions. Together, we manage to care for people who fall ill or even die from viral or bacterial infections: at the limits of what is possible in research, we are exploring the world of viruses and bacteria as well as genes and the immune system in ever greater detail, thus creating the basis for better diagnoses and therapies.
