The RESIST-funded bioinformatics course by and with Prof. Thomas Otto from the University of Glasgow took place again this summer: From 4 to 8 August, 17 scientists were able to acquire a good knowledge of the following topics: How to process sequencing datasets on the MHH’s high-performance computer cluster “Leine”? How to use Linux? How to perform advanced RNA sequencing analyses with the programming language R?
The students and (post) doctoral candidates were given high-quality data sets to work with or had brought their own data with them. Prof. Otto was supported by Erik Fuhrmann and Dr. Hanan Begali as active tutors. The RESIST management and Prof. Depledge were instrumental in organising the course.
