The lecture to be held on 29 January 2026 at 1 p.m. will be given by Dr. Werner Ouwendijk<\/a> from the HerpeslabNL at Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, and Prof. Mark Wills<\/a> from the University of Cambridge.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Werner Ouwendijk<\/b>\u00a0from the The HerpeslabNL, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam\u00a0will talk about \u201cChromatin modulation by Varicella-Zoster Virus\u201d.<\/p>\n

Werner Ouwendijk\u2019s team is doing research focused on the molecular basis of herpesvirus latency and reactivation, with an emphasis on the human alpha-herpesviruses varicella-zoster virus (VZV) and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1).<\/p>\n

Prof. Mark Wills<\/b>\u00a0from the University of Cambridge will give a lecture with the title “Anti-HCMV Adaptative Immunity in the Elderly & Transplant Patients: Role of Immune Checkpoint pathways”<\/p>\n

\u2022Understanding the cellular immune response to Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV).<\/div>\n
\u2022HCMV Immune recognition and evasion following Solid organ transplantation<\/div>\n

\u2022Immune recognition of HCMV latent and reactivating cells<\/div>\n

The lecture will take place in Lecture Hall Q, Building J01 of the Hannover Medical School.<\/p>\n
