{"id":8520,"date":"2020-03-03T12:19:33","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T11:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.resist-cluster.de\/?p=8520"},"modified":"2022-05-12T11:12:40","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T09:12:40","slug":"five-resist-researchers-elected-to-dfg-review-boards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.resist-cluster.de\/en\/five-resist-researchers-elected-to-dfg-review-boards\/","title":{"rendered":"Five RESIST researchers elected to DFG Review Boards"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1 bgs-blocksatz\"><p>Five researchers of our Cluster of Excellence RESIST have been elected to the Review Boards of the German Research Foundation (DFG): Professor Dr. Gesine Hansen has been elected to the Review Board &#8220;Child and Youth Medicine&#8221;, Professor Dr. Beate Sodeik and Professor Dr. Thomas Pietschmann to the Review Board &#8220;Microbiology, Virology and Immunology&#8221;, Professor Dr. Bodo Grimbacher to the Review Board &#8220;Clinical Immunology and Allergology&#8221; and Professor Dr. Meike Stiesch to the Review Board &#8220;Dentistry; Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Review Boards are responsible for scientific evaluation of proposals submitted to the DFG for financial support and for monitoring of the maintenance of uniform standards in the review process. On this basis, members of DFG Review Boards formulate funding recommendations for the DFG&#8217;s decision-making bodies. In addition, they advise the DFG on issues relating to the further development and design of its funding programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The approximately 600 members of the 48 Review Boards are elected by all scientists and academics who hold doctorates and work at German universities or accredited research institutions.
