Egbert Trowe himself received a liver transplant in 2002 and has since been an advocate for the issue of organ donation as well as for patients before and after organ transplantation.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2022, Egbert Trowe became a patient representative on RESIST&#8217;s internal advisory board. He has taken up this activity in addition to his numerous other activities in various committees. &#8220;We are grateful to Egbert Trowe for his commitment to RESIST. Our sympathies go out to the relatives,&#8221; says RESIST spokesperson Prof. Schulz.<\/p>\n<p>Egbert Trowe was very active in numerous committees for several decades. He was involved as a board member of the association Lebertransplantierte Deutschland e.V. , a member of the board of trustees of the German Foundation for Organ Transplantation, a member of the board of trustees and foundation board of the German Liver Foundation, as well as an topic-related patient representative on the Federal Joint Committee.
