The title of her lecture is:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>&#8220;Designing Smarter Vaccines: Understanding Our Immune System with Artificial Intelligence&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Adriana Tomic is leading a Systems Immunology group at Boston University focusing on understanding how human immune responses mediate protection and prevent severe diseases. At the interface between infection and computational biology, her research aims to transform human immunology and change the way we develop vaccines using a combination of systems-level analysis, multi-omics data integration, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Tomic is also a co-developer of SIMON, an open-source knowledge discovery platform for the application of machine learning to biomedical data.
