DESCRIPTION:Exciting topics\, interestingly presented: Every first and third Thursday (except during school holidays) RESIST scientists or top-class researchers from external institutions present their topics at the RESIST seminar series. \nThis seminar takes place from 5 to 6 pm Lecture Hall Q Building J6\, Hannover Medical School. If you are interested in attending via video (online) please contact RESIST@mh-hannover.de. \nAs a member of RESIST or the SFB 900\, a colleague\, a student\, please attend these exciting seminars of the Cluster of Excellence RESIST. \nOn 29 June 2023 \nthere will be a lecture by Prof. Dr. Ralph Kehlenbach\, Institute of Molecular Biology\, University Medical Center Göttingen. The title of the lecture is: \n„Dynamics of nuclear transport receptors\, nuclear pore complexes and the nuclear envelope” \nThe talk will address the mechanisms of nuclear transport\, focusing on the transport receptors CRM1 and transportin\, and the interplay of proteins of the nuclear pore complex and the nuclear envelope. Of particular interest here are the VAP-proteins (VAPA and VAPB)\, proteins of the endoplasmic reticulum that are also found at the inner nuclear membrane\, where they interact with nucleoporins. \nFurther information on Prof. Kehlenbach’s working group can be found here. \nDo you have any questions or suggestions about the RESIST seminar series?
